Compact and easy-to-use, the Pro Optix Pro Coder is used for transcoding transceivers and changing channels on tunable DWDM transceivers. Available to Pro Optix resellers and customers and suitable for use in data centers and networks, the Pro Coder gives installers and technicians incredible flexibility. The Pro Coder offers SFP programming, but also other form factors, with the latest edition including QSFP+ programming.
The Pro Coder is ideal for checking compatibility of transceivers in specific applications and handy for diagnosing problems in the field, enabling you to make adjustments and re-tune quickly on site.
It also gives the possibility of remote support, effectively connecting you and the Pro Optix technical support team where needed, or maybe your own internal support team.
With the Pro Optix Pro Coder, you can configure Pro Optix optical transceivers in a matter of seconds. It is simple to use and to find the right code and settings from our up-to-date online database. All codes and settings are fully tested to ensure compatibility, so that you can recode your transceiver quickly to meet your specific application requirements.
Although SFP programming is often the most common application, the Pro Coder covers a wide range of transceiver form factors: SFP | CSFP | SFP+ | SFP28 | XFP | QSFP+ | QSFP28 | QSFP-DD. It is quick to recode for many different brands and changing network requirements
DWDM Transceiver Wavelength Tuning
Also used for tuning DWDM transceiver channels, the Pro Coder is designed to help make quick adjustments to SFP, SFP+ and XFP tunable transceiver wavelengths.
Transceivers have different coding algorithms and it is important to have the correct coding for transceivers to make sure that they are recognized by the networking equipment being used and are fully compatible with other brands you may be using. If the transceiver is incorrectly coded it can result in hardware alarms showing that the transceiver is not approved or that the transceiver is not compatible with the other networking equipment.
The Pro Optix Pro Coder optical transceiver programmer supports Pro Optix transceivers in accordance with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and ensures full transceiver compatibility for a wide range of form factors (SFP, CSFP, SFP+, SFP28, XFP, QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP-DD) and supports as many different brands as possible. Our database of transceivers is available to Pro Optix resellers and customers and is kept up to date and includes more recent form factors which means that the device can be used as a qsfp+ programmer.
